Nothing But You

I wake up every day broken into a million pieces, and yet each one of them yearns for you.

While everything in the world moves at its pace, a part of me stuck like our story is due.

Sublimed memories racing through my veins, and yet nothing in this world smells of you.

Shadows of that time follows me every day, saying, “Nothing matters, nothing but you.”

I am who I am, but it’s a better version of me when I am with you,

You are not my world, my sun or my moon, for you are my ‘Hope’, a truth I knew.

In a limited life of unlimited possibilities, so much time and yet moments are few,

Scorched and scared in this journey, but the aurora in the night sky is as mesmerizing as you.

My menial existence will someday be eradicated, leaving traces maybe a few,

While all I do and say will become oblivion, living is only if with you.

Nor a desire neither a want, it is but true.

Maybe another eon to wait for, but it will always be 'nothing but you'.
