Sonnet 1
Somewhere
in the woods of life, in the trail seldom explored,
Between
the mountains of lost love and abyss of despair.
Of
selfish desires and spiteful affair,
Dwells
a soul with a glint of hope and some love to spare.
Existing
somewhere between living and breathing,
Reflecting
and refracting beams and yet rarely soothing.
Smiles
that catches the eyes and still so misleading.
A
tale of muted lips and soul screaming.
A
ledger of all that was gambled but not all lost,
Those
specs of wisdom at broken heart’s cost,
Sublimed
those misfortune in the moments so soft,
Transcending
echoes in the hark of night,
From
the brink of insanity to freedom delight,
Answering
to those calls of eternal light.
